Phull Niwas is a traditional Kerala home designed for a site overlooking the Arabian Sea on one side and the backwaters on the other. Bricks used in construction were made from mud sourced directly from the land, and the interiors feature authentic Kerala columns and wooden rafters that reflect local craft. To address Kerala's humidity and heavy monsoon rains, the design includes a sloping roof with deep overhangs, keeping the home rooted in the region's vernacular architecture while staying true to Design Consortium's focus on sustainability and context-driven design.
